Player Death and Retirement

Player Death

There have been rumors on whether or not player's can kill one another. Up until this point it has not been legal. We, as Administrators, have decided to open up this possibility. There are now new balances in the game that allow you to operate two characters (See Secondary Characters). We feel that having two operating characters will provide each of you with the opportunity to post more and be more thoroughly involved and play more to your preferences. I, personally, would like to extend a thanks to all of you. You have gone through the rules being reconstructed, as well as the regulating that we have been doing. On your behalf, we promise to regulate death heavily. Let me lay this down as easily as I can:

1. YOU MUST READ THIS THOROUGHLY BEFORE EVER ATTEMPTING TO KILL ANYONE.
   
   
2. DO NOT run around assuming we are all expendable. Even opposing players are considered valuable.
   
   
3. REMEMBER killing is a big choice to make, regardless of how your character might act.
   
   
4. ONLY kill if it is the best choice.
   
   
5. Death is not absolutely permanent. Thanks to characters like Strawberry, there are ways to come back.
   
   
6. If you are caught killing without reason, or chain killing to a great extent, the board WILL be locked and you WILL be modded. More than one offense could result in being banned from the game.
   
   
7. GIVE YOUR OPPONENT A CHANCE, DO NOT THROW THINGS AT SOMEONE THAT THEY CANNOT AVOID, UNLESS REGULATED BY AN ADMINISTRATOR.
   
   
8. If you are EVER concerned about what you are about to do, contact an Administrator. We are here to help.
   
   
9. If for some reason you die because of circumstance, like Epoch nearly does frequently, contact an Administrator and we will arrange resurrection.
   

Resurrection

Resurrection will be dealt with by Administrators. Each group of players will be allotted certain amounts of items such as potions that may entail resurrection. If a group has spent all resources within an arc you may be required to wait until the next arc. Certain characters may be able to resurrect you. If that is the case, arrangements may be made.

Permanent Death

Permanent Death is an option open to the player that owns the character. If your character dies and you wish to have the character remain dead, declare Permanent Death.

Retirement

There comes a point when your character may not be able to advance further, you feel they have reached their pinnacle or perhaps you have chosen Permanent Death. If this is the case you may request Retirement from an Administrator. When you have chosen Retirement, you will be given a chance to give one last farewell to the character before the account's password and email are changed to forever lock the character.

If you have chosen to retire either of your characters, you will be allowed to start anew. This is the only point at which your Secondary Character can become your Primary, though it is not required. You will alway be allowed to have up to two characters in play. Secondary Characters
