Illumin the Conductor

Illumin is the name of my character.

My superpower is Light Manipulation: http://powerlisting.wikia.com/wiki/Light_Manipulation

The bearer of this power can control light and bend it to his will, using it for many different tools, even solidifying it.

I am a member of the Heroes.

Character Biography:
Illumin, the manipulator of light, yeah it doesn't sound that cool, but I don't even know what I am capable of yet...

Story? Oh yeah, I guess I have a story. Not a very good one if you can imagine. All my partners and friends, they are the epic ones. Break outs from secret government laboratories, inheriting powers from generations of power-bearers, and the like. I was an ordinary kid leading an ordinary life...

Born and raised in Pennsylvania, parents got new jobs, moved me from place to place about once a year. It was really tough back then, having to make new friends once a year. But I moved on through and eventually my family settled down in Montana. I was...I believe it was 15 years old then. That is when strange things started happening. Whenever I felt particularly emotional there would be flashes of light and orbs that would appear. Everyone thought that they were spirits or ghosts or something like this. My family began to think that I was possessed or a conduit of dark energies so they hired a priest to perform an exorcism.

I was not ready to put up with that crap. I was 16 when I ran away and began searching. I wandered from place to place, as was the only way I knew. At 16 I was able to work without drawing too much attention, jobs that paid in cash and no one asked many questions. I always had to move on whenever the orbs or beams of light would appear. Always a quick entrance and exit, that was all there was usually time for. Everywhere I went I would know rather quickly if what I sought was in that town.

But one day, as I wandered into a new town, I was approached by a formidable looking man. I was 19 at the time and had built myself a bit of a physique doing the kind of work that usually involves hard hats and danger, and I was not easily intimidated. However, this gentleman gave me the impression he knew something I didn't. All he did was give me a letter telling me that I was known to people higher up and that these people requested an audience with me. It was signed the NSS. I followed the instructions given in the letter and found the National Superhero Society.

So that is my story, strange flashing lights, drifting, and eventually going to the right place at the right time. It has been a few months now since I got here and I am accustomed with the place and some of the people. I should begin training soon so that I can understand and control my power of Light Manipulation (as they explained to me my power was) and become a conduit, a conductor of light. Wish me luck.

Well, after a few weeks of training I have discovered my powers and learned how to control some of them. Now that I am learning more I am going to be the best I can be to help the Heroes at the NSS.
