Turning his body a little bit, Toby managed to dodge death's grasp. Reaching out his own hand, his finger's seized the very tips of the witch's fingers. He thought that the small yank might throw the pink-haired girl off balance. Pulling himself off the floor, Toby kept a hopeful eye on his target's feet. There was a stumble, but the enemy remained standing.

"So - I have to take you down the old fashion way? Here, try these moves - I laid this one on your sister." he chuckled, throwing a punch at the pretty face in front of him.

Rebound and Epoch's power struggle was interrupted by Doctor Weird. The scientist may have been disoriented from appearing in the new chamber, because he bumbled around the area drunkenly.

Epoch noticed the madman, but not before Rebound. The two lost focus on their massive energy struggle and it exploded in on itself. The blast was not lethal, but exuded great power. It threatened to throw the three of them. (The three cannot dodge this event by any means)

“Leathermin!” Shouted Dr Weird as a response to Epochs shout. He was a bit perplexed about him holding out his hand. “We can hold hands later, but first.” He looked over at Rebound.

“You were about to take something that was mine, and I can’t let you do that.” He walked up to Rebound who was still shaking off the blast and with the katana drove it straight down through him.

The katana came right down through Rebound. It went through his chest with ease, punctured a lung and his heart. Or at least, what would be a heart had he been real. The projection that was Rebound burbled blood and saliva. "Epoch," he said looking over to the blue haired young man, "You were supposed to kill me. I'm sure he won't be happy." The blood curdled in his mouth, "You better fight like hell."

The apparition that was Rebound blew away, as if by an invisible wind. His body reduced to ash. Somewhere in a distant hospital, a young man flat-lined.
