Tobias was practically shouting at his companion, watching as his form disintegrated into the darkness surrounding them. It startled him even further when he looked down, noticing that his feet were no longer visible. Shadow threatened to swallow them both.

He could feel his heart racing - could hear his voice calling Keiran's name.

'This is what being blind must feel like...' concluded the shape-shifter as he continued to cry out.

'I hope this isn't what death feels like.'

His sight came swimming back as a hazy form took center-stage of his vision. Reforming legs carried him closer, his arms tethering into existence to swing back and forth as he ran.

Suddenly, the other mercenary was by his side once again, and the two were faced with another small girl. Long, blonde locks pooled like silk around her. A smooth, but commanding voice fell from the lips of her porcelain face.

Keiran stepped forward to respond to her questions. A syllable into his retort, Toby jumped in, with a big, cheesy grin.

Black haze began to dissipate around the edge of Keiran's vision as he became once again tangible. A strange weightless feeling fleeted Keiran as gravity took hold in the new environment he found himself in. The new chamber looked like a near duplicate of his previous location; Yet, something felt discernibly different as a feeling of unease crept into his mind.

'What the hell is going on...'

Before Keiran could complete his though, a slender women took shape within his line of sight, her voice ringing throughout the room.

This one was different than the last. She seemed just as confounded as he was, and by the looks of it, fresh out of a fight of her own. Hovering his hand over the hilt of his blade, Keiran took a step forward.

"We aren't..."

Just as Keiran began to speak, his companion blurted out what he must have thought was hilarious. Eye twitching slightly, Keiran attempted to speak once more, "We don't have intent to fight if you don't... As it so happens, we know just as little as you do."

"As for a doctor, you don't happen to be referring to Dr. Weird... do you?"
