Bumelia looked over at Prosper. Oh, I suppose this wasn't entirely for Jackson. " I, uh, have an affinity for wood." She winked at Prosper and looked back at Jackson straightfaced. "I'm good with manipulating it to do what I want it to."

Dr. Weird looks on as Wigraf and Slylar fight. He was recording everything, he couldn’t pass up this chance for more data. It was then he noticed the bag containing the skull as it bounced
away from Skylar.

‘Now’s my chance.’ He thought, this was the perfect opportunity to grab the skull. He looked over at Tang Le who was still on her phone. After he motioned to her he sprinted towards the skull.

He scooped it up in his hand and put it in his coat while he ran back to Tang Le’s side.

“Now that I got what we came for its time to go.” He shouted as he pulled out the gate controller from his pocket. After hitting a few buttons the one Skylar threw off exploded into pieces. A second later a warp gate opened up that led back to his lab.

“This way now, have no further business here.”

Before Prosper could even speak the room became somehow different. Without looking up, Jackson said, "Welcome home, Epoch." Bumelia and Prosper turned to see the new arrival.

Epoch looked upon them with his new eyes. Blue strings of energy danced through each of them, chronotons dying, and chronotons in genesis. "Yes," Epoch stuttered a little, trying to choke back the truth, "I am home."

"Looks like you've changed a bit, young man," Jackson said, looking at the black that now dominated Epoch's hair, and then at the ghastly pallor of Epoch's skin. "I would ask you about your mission, but it wasn't assigned. I hope you know that your flight into whatever you have returned from will result in punishment." His eyes then looked back two the two newcomers, "These two will be joining your so called, 'Strike Force'."

Mela groaned. Why can't we all show up at the same time and go through this shit once. She turned to size up the newcomer. Woof. He looked rough.

Bumelia tapped her foot on the ground feigning impatience. "Strike Force." She felt the words in her mouth and liked the vibe of what may come from this. "What the hell is this mission you put us on? Should I be expecting anyone else before we can get through a whole conversation about my assignments?"

President Jackson shot Bumelia a look. "You've had your first mission. Unfortunately, I did not have a chance you brief you before you were dispatched. Your mission was to save our friend Prosper here," he gestured to the man that had escaped the prison, "Now your mission is to help Epoch with his punishment. Follow him to the training ground while I have a talk with your recovered friend."

Epoch felt his stomach growl. The anger was still in him, but he was feeling nearly himself. At least he thought so, since he was hungry again. He sighed and wondered where Aquilo was. He was looking forward to finding solace in him. "I'll take you there and we'll see how tough you, are."

The two left the room and made it to the nearest training ground. As they left, they could hear Jackson say, "So, Prosper, how can you be an effective member of our team?"

Now in the training room, one with no ceiling, the morning sun beat down, but the air was cool. Epoch was tired but knew he needed to learn the ways of his new teammate. "I am Epoch." His hand stuck forward to shake Bumelia's. The name Darren was now behind him.

Wigraf began to laugh maniacally as Skylar's attacks were fruitless. He scrambled to his feet, but not before landing a hefty punch in the stone next to Skylar's head. "Catch you later," Wigraf barked as he stepped through the portal with Doctor Weird and Tang Le.

"Bumelia" she said as she stuck out her hand, grasping his. When am I going to stop feeling like a ever-freshmeat? This fucker is totally sizing me up. How tough I am? Fuck him.

"So, What'd you do?" she asked. If we are going to be on the same team, I better know why I have to endure his punishments.

Mela blinked once. Twice more. Panic. Flattery. Somehow Bumelia's thought had shut down with this information. "You..." She was confused. I was sent to retrieve... This is so much more serious that I had imagined. Jackson pulled ME to work on this? That's either the biggest suicide mission, or Jackson is seeing something I'm not.

She took a step back and looked Epoch up and down. "Well, I suppose we have some work to do. Where do we start?"

Dr. Weird’s Lab

Steve greeted the three of them emerged from the gate in Dr. Weirds lab.

“Welcome back, I trust it went well?” Rang Steve from the ceiling. “Where are the others, and who's this?”

“A lot has happened Steve, a lot. But we did manage to acquire the skull.” He then held up the skull still in the bag. “It would seem we lost them, one was killed, two it seemed were taken by some dark entity, and the last one decided to turn on us so we left him there.”

Wigraf was amazed at what he was seeing, it was all a first for him. Tang Le was still on her phone, walking through the gate dropped her call so she had to call them back.

“Steve, if you would take care of the arrangements for our new friend here. A room, ID, basic access, and the gate key.”

“Right away sir.” Steve then began the procedure’s to grant Wigraf access to the lab.

Dr. Weird brought up the bag, and dug out the skull. He held up to the light, and he marveled at it as it sparkled in the light. It was beautiful, nothing on earth could compare to the radiance given off by the skull. A single piece of quartz crystal with no tool marks, not a single scratch.

He rolled it around examining every inch of it slowly bringing its gaze to meet his. He stopped when he looked into its eyes, time seemed to have stopped, and voices began to whisper in the back of mind as all outside sound was slowly cut out. His vision suddenly black out and was replaces with images of catastrophe, chaos and destruction. Strange creatures were looming around him cloaked in shadows speaking in a strange language the Dr. Weird couldn’t understand. But he could guess what they were saying. The end of the world is coming and they are the ones who will cause it.

Dr. Weird was then overcome with fear, it seemed to paralyze him. He then began to laugh, an eerie combination of fear and maniacal joy that he usually displaces. The longer he looked the more intense everything became. Anyone else would have been driven mad and crippled with fear that is anyone but Dr. Weird. He looked forward to what was coming.

“MWAHAHAHAHAHA, HEHEHOHOHO HAHAHAHA!!!” He laughed as he broke eye contact with the skull. Turning to Tang Le and Wigraf he said. “The end is near.”

A blue haired person came out of nowhere before Prosper could speak. Well shit this seems to be a recurring theme with these people. Guess I better hang back and watch.
They talked for a little bit and jackson motioned for the other 2 to leave the room. As the were leaving Jackson turned to Prosper and asked, "So, Prosper, how can you be an effective member of our team?"

Prosper lightly cleared his throat, "Well not sure how it works exactly, but i make people sick to their stomach. Just focus on some people and boom, they toss cookies."
Jackson,"So you make people puke? All that effort into saving you and that's what you do?"
Prosper was annoyed, "Yeah pretty much, you looking for a demonstration"
"Slow down there" Jackson chuckled,"Before we can assign you to the mentioned strike force. We need to make sure you're up to snuff. We'll have a student escort you to the training area."
"Before we get to that, i've been in a cell for something like 2 decades, how about we rustle up a decent cheeseburger?"
"That'll be fine." jacksopn replied as he motioned to a student entering the room. "This is Eric he'll tak you where you need to go."
"If you follow me I'll show you to the lunch room" Eric said cheerfully. Prosper followed him out the door, mildly excited to get some decent food for once.
